Brisbane is a city where you can feel the growth, the energy, and the enthusiasm to try new things. If you are planning a corporate event, leadership summit, or industry conference in Brisbane, book a keynote speaker with genuine business experience and a message shaped for your room.

I have spoken in Brisbane many times over the years — convention centres, hotel ballrooms, breakfast rooms, and a few spaces I would struggle to find again. What I do not have is a tidy record of all of it. For a long stretch I simply turned up, did the work, and caught the plane home without thinking to collect the evidence.
So this page starts with what I can show you, and I will keep adding to it as the photographs and the links come in. I would rather give you two engagements you can verify than a list of venues you have to take on trust.
Most recent first. More to come as I get the records together.
I spoke at the Entrepreneurs Summit at the Brisbane Convention & Exhibition Centre in October 2026. Here is what the people in that room said afterwards.
I left feeling inspired, with a clearer sense of direction and practical steps I can put into action. Naomi made the session feel personal and relevant to me and the work I'm building. I came away feeling encouraged and ready to move forward.

Let me say something about this city that has nothing to do with business. In September 2026 the Brisbane Lions trailed Fremantle by seventeen points with under five minutes to play in the grand final, then kicked the last four goals of the game to win by seven. Third premiership in a row — and this century only Hawthorn and the Lions' own 2001 to 2003 side have managed three straight.
I bring it up because it tells you something about Brisbane. People here are optimistic, positive, and entrepreneurial by nature. They back themselves. They do not assume the thing is lost because the scoreboard says so with five minutes left. That is exactly the room I want to stand in front of — because the ideas I share only work for people willing to have a go.
I have built and scaled companies, co-founded Big Red Group — a technology business powering the largest experience network in Australia and New Zealand — served as an independent director on multiple boards, and invested in dozens of businesses across four seasons of Shark Tank Australia.
This year I am also headlining the Destination NT Conference in Alice Springs, and I have been interviewed on business conditions by Ticker News, profiled by Forbes Australia, and featured on the Australian Institute of Company Directors' Boardroom Confidential podcast. The full picture is on my national speaking page.
The measure that matters is not the applause in the room, it is what the organiser says afterwards. From Sekuro, after I closed their annual conference:
Naomi's closing keynote was a standout success, with 94% of attendees rating it 'Very Valuable'. Her impact resonated far and wide — our CEO even thanked her personally. We are grateful to have had Naomi with us at Sekuro this year; her presentation truly elevated our event.Sekuro, Sekurokon

Every time I fly into Brisbane, the city feels different. New towers in the CBD. New energy in Fortitude Valley and South Bank. New businesses, new industries, and a confidence that comes from a city that knows its moment is arriving.
With the 2032 Olympics on the horizon, Southeast Queensland is not just growing — it is transforming. And the business community here is asking bigger questions. How do we scale? How do we attract the right talent? How do we compete nationally and globally without losing the collaborative culture that makes Brisbane special?
These are exactly the kinds of questions I love exploring on stage. I have written about why business conferences matter in 2026 and where I think business events are heading.
Brisbane's business community has a distinct character — ambitious, grounded, and collaborative. The event organisers I work with here know exactly what they want.
Brisbane is a city in growth mode, and the audiences I speak to here are hungry for practical insight on how to scale, lead, and compete. But they also value honesty. They do not want a speaker who makes it sound easy. They want someone who has lived the complexity of building businesses and can share the real lessons — including the ones that came from getting things wrong.
When I stand in front of a Brisbane audience, I am not sharing theory. I am sharing what happened, what I learned, and what I would do differently. That practicality is what Brisbane event organisers tell me their audiences value most. There is more on what I cover as an entrepreneur keynote speaker in Australia.
There is an optimism in Brisbane right now that is infectious. The best keynote for a Brisbane audience is one that channels that energy — not with hype, but with a genuine belief that the businesses and leaders in this city can achieve extraordinary things if they approach growth with discipline, courage, and customer obsession.
| Topic | Brisbane Audience Angle |
|---|---|
| Entrepreneurship and Innovation | Building scalable businesses in a city experiencing rapid growth — how to seize momentum without losing focus |
| Leadership in Uncertain Times | Leading teams through change in a region transforming faster than most — infrastructure, population, industry shifts |
| Customer Obsession | Creating experiences that earn loyalty in a market where competition is arriving fast — lessons from the experience economy |
| Learning, Performance and Capability | How organisations build the skills and adaptability their people need when the ground keeps shifting |
| AI and the Future of Work | Practical AI adoption for Brisbane's growing tech and professional services sectors — and why human connection matters more, not less |
| Resilience and Reinvention | How to keep building when the market changes around you — relevant for Brisbane's evolving resource, tourism, and property sectors |
| Women in Business | Building careers and companies in Queensland — honest reflections on leadership, ambition, and the networks that matter |
Every topic is customised for your specific audience. The table above is a starting point — the actual keynote is built around the conversation we have about your event's goals.
Organisers ask me this early, and it is a fair question. Fees in the Australian market vary widely depending on a speaker's profile, the format, and how much of the day they are involved in. These are indicative market ranges rather than my own fee:
| Speaker level | Typical fee (AUD) |
|---|---|
| Emerging or niche expert | $3,000 – $7,000 |
| Established professional speaker | $8,000 – $15,000 |
| Premium business leader or recognised author | $15,000 – $30,000+ |
| High-profile headline speaker | $30,000 – $50,000+ |
| Celebrity or global name | $50,000 – $100,000+ |
For Brisbane engagements, travel and accommodation from Sydney are additional and set out in the proposal in writing. If I am already flying north, adding a workshop, board session or sponsor breakfast to the trip is far better value than booking them separately.
Organisers tell me the uncertainty is the hard part — not the fee, but not knowing what they are signing up to manage. So here is the whole of it.
I generally speak for between 45 and 60 minutes, and I always want a Q&A with the audience. That is often where the best of it happens, because the questions tell me what the room is really wrestling with. Workshops, boardroom briefings and longer experiences are shaped around your brief rather than a fixed running sheet.
My speakers agent handles the travel, the transfers, the hotel and the briefing paperwork. Their job is to make sure I arrive in Brisbane at the right place, at the right time, with the right brief in hand — so nobody on your team is chasing flight numbers in conference week.
We hold a pre-brief. I want to understand how you want the audience to feel walking out, what your intention for the day is, and the one message you need to land. I build the slides straight after that conversation, usually about two weeks out, and send them through early so there is plenty of time to test the deck and the sound.
For Brisbane events I fly in the evening before, so a delayed flight from Sydney never becomes your problem on the morning of your conference.
Many Brisbane event organisers extend the engagement beyond a keynote. I offer:
These formats work particularly well combined with a keynote, giving your audience both inspiration and application. Explore my speaking across Australia, or see Sydney, Melbourne and Perth.
As a keynote speaker I am often asked to be a guest on a variety of podcasts — here are a few you may find of interest. If you are weighing me up for your Brisbane event, this is the quickest way to hear how I think and how I tell a story before you ever get me on the phone.

My speakers agent does. They handle the flights from Sydney, the transfers, the accommodation and the briefing paperwork, so your team is not managing my logistics on top of running a conference. Travel and accommodation costs are additional and set out in the proposal in writing.

Most recently at the Brisbane Convention & Exhibition Centre at South Bank for the Entrepreneurs Summit in October 2026, and I am speaking at Bond University's Queen Street campus in March 2027 for the Institute of Learning & Performance Summit. I have spoken in Brisbane many times before that, though I did not always keep a record — I am adding past engagements to this page as I gather the detail.
Yes. Six podcast conversations are linked on this page, spanning Small Business Big Marketing with Tim Reid, How Two Live, Don't Stop Us Now, Cerebral Conversations for the Cerebral Palsy Alliance, Strategy at Scale with Kaihan Krippendorff, and The Inspired CEO. Between them they cover brand building, customer obsession, resilience and leadership — and they are the fastest way to hear how a keynote will sound in your room.
I speak at corporate conferences, industry association events, franchise summits, leadership offsites, learning and development summits, women in business events, government forums, and university programmes. If your Brisbane event has an audience that values substance and real experience, we are likely a good fit.
Yes. I spoke at the Affinity Education Centre Managers Conference at RACV Royal Pines on the Gold Coast in August 2024, and I am happy to extend a Brisbane trip to the Gold Coast or Sunshine Coast.
Absolutely. I am headlining the Destination NT Conference in Alice Springs for a tourism audience, and I have spoken to property, construction, healthcare, retail and early learning audiences across the country. I work with your event team to shape the keynote around the specific challenges and opportunities facing your sector in Queensland.
